About the Role
Nederman is seeking a dedicated team player to join our Bayswater based team as a Service Technician.
As a Service Technician, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure optimal functionality and client satisfaction.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Conducting inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
- Following maintenance schedules and performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability and minimising downtime.
- Utilising hand and power tools, testing equipment, and technical manuals to complete repair and maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Communicating with clients to understand their concerns and provide clear explanations of repair options and recommendations.
- Documenting all work performed, including repairs, parts used, and labour hours, accurately and comprehensively in service reports.
- Collaborating with other team members and departments to coordinate repair schedules, obtain necessary parts, and ensure timely completion of service tasks.
- Adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining positive relationships.
About You
This is a great opportunity for someone who demonstrates:
- Technical certification or vocational training preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office including Excel and MS word.
- Proven experience in a similar role, with expertise in equipment repair and maintenance.
- Basic electrical & PLC knowledge for purposes of system commissioning and problem solving.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team.
- The following qualifications/tickets (or willing to obtain):
- Australian driver’s licence
- Working with childrens check
- Working at heights
- Construction induction (White Card)
- EWP Licence (scissor & boom under 11m)
- Forklift license (desirable)
