About the role

This is a full-time permanent opportunity  based within the Central Queensland renewables energy zone, working predominately on Wind Farms. A permanent dayshift roster cycle will be worked. Travel will be required for both the role itself and for the purposes of training. Camp style accommodation will be provided whilst on roster.

As the Service Technician/Service Technician – Trades Assistant within SAMCo, you will undertake maintenance and installation duties at Stanwell sites, or Stanwell contracted or host sites ensuring all activities are completed in an efficient and safe manner.

Your responsibilities may include technical activities including installations, along with preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance, and comply with Statutory or Health Safety and Environmental requirements.

Key activities include:

• Provide all technical work associated with the preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance activities for site.
• Provide a timely response to corrective maintenance tasks, troubleshoot, diagnose, and correction of faults.
• Ability to develop and work to instructions on Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) or Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS). 
• Identify, initiate, recommend and assist in the issue resolution process. Verify and confirm the effective implementation of said solutions.
• Prepare to undertake administration and documentation including, tracking, closing and recording of maintenance work orders.

About you

• Experience in heavy industry maintenance techniques.
• Basic knowledge of asset management principles.
• Prepared to travel intrastate and interstate from time to time.
• Prepared to work a continuous roster, where required to align with Host sites or development programs, as established and agreed.
• Current “C” or “MR” or “HR” Driver’s Licence, white card and Electrical Trade Certificate and a current Queensland Electrical Fitter/Mechanic license (equivalent).
