Family Support Network Inc, a Lismore LGA based not for profit organisation has an opportunity for a Services Manager to join our team. Our organisation is committed to prioritising the safety, welfare, and wellbeing of children and young people above all else and our practice is guided by trauma informed care and person-centred approaches. The Services Manager will actively oversee program management, participant/case management, staff supervision, community support, and administrative functions. The Services Manager is crucial in fostering a safe, creative, and innovative environment for children, young people, families and the FSN team.
The position is permanent part-time, in-office, hours Mon-Fri: 9-4 (32.5 hours)
The essential criteria must be addressed to be considered for this position
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Psychology, Human Services, Social Work, Social Welfare
- Five years’ demonstrated relevant experience including management experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of child protection and wellbeing
- Thorough understanding of trauma-informed and person-centred practice
- Must be a strong influencer and negotiator, adept at managing a cohesive team and resolving issues through evidence-based processes.
- Ability to engage staff in FSN’s culture, clarify roles, and foster organisational improvement through effective collaboration.
- Strong emotional intelligence is crucial, with the ability to self-manage and build professional relationships.
- Must be able to adapt to evolving child and family service issues, lead quality improvement and risk management efforts, handle ambiguity, and communicate program changes effectively to stakeholders.
- Proficient computer skills and experience with CRM programs and MS office suite.
Desirable Criteria
- Postgraduate qualification in Child Protection or Early Childhood Education
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
