About the Role

As a Settlements Officer, you will be responsible for providing assistance to Lending Advisors in organising and coordinating settlements.  

This position will see you accountable for processing a client application from the point of unconditional approval through to settlement. The role involves liaising with clients, solicitors, conveyancers and various financial institutions to ensure that settlement deadlines are met. 

We’ve got some big targets and are a company with a start-up attitude so we’re looking for a talented individual with a high level of initiative, a fast learner and a helpful attitude.

Core responsibilities: 

  • Preparing lender documentation/contracts for clients;
  • Liaising with sales, clients, lenders and solicitors to ensure a smooth settlement process;
  • Submitting completed lender documents for settlement ensuring internal and external requirements have been met;
  • Accurately monitoring and tracking all settlements;
  • Following up on opportunities and lodgements to ensure discharges are ready for the impending settlement;
  • Working with the team towards the settlement of their applications;
  • Proactive follow ups of additional requirements/necessary documents from Lending Advisors and associates as applicable; and
  • Building strong relationships with key lender contacts to ensure a strong support base.

Your experience includes:  

  • Experience in the banking and finance industry;
  • Working knowledge of the banking industry, Australian housing market, and regulatory environment;
  • A strong track record of consistently meeting or exceeding performance metrics;
  • Customer-centric and solutions focused; and
  • Self-motivated with a desire to continually exceed expectations.
