Sexual Misconduct Case Manager In Adf (6 Month Contract)- Canberra

This is a full time six month contract, starting early April, working with the Sexual Misconduct Prevention and Response Office located within the ADF in Brindabella Park, ACT.
  
This team works in the niche area of supporting victims of sexual assualt and Sexual abuse, who are acting serving members in the Military. The team requires a Case Manager to work with clients who have been subjected to unwanted sexualised behaviours in Defence. The Client Response Team also provides advice and assistance to Defence commanders and managers who are managing personnel impacted by Sexual Misconduct to promote the wellbeing of personnel involved

The successful applicant will provide primarily phone-based support and client response to personnel.
  
On offer:
  
- Weekly pay: $64.88 per hour plus superannuation
- Work with a small and highly collaborative team based in Brindabella Park, ACT
- Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Requirements for the role:
  
- Case Managers with relevant degree qualifications in Social Work, Counselling or relevant Allied Health profession degree qualifications 
- Ideally you must have experience working with Clients previously who have been victims of DV, sexual assault or other similar trauma backgrounds
- Strong assessment and documentation skills
- Ability to address the needs of a range of Defence client
- A positive, optimistic and open minded approach
-Ability to work autonomously but will value teamwork and the support of others
- Must be able to start work in early April and finish the contract at the end of June 2024, with little to no time off required for the entire period
- You will be required to obtain a current police check and Baseline Security clearance (waiver) through AGSVA before commencing work on this contract. 
- You MUST be an Australian Citizen  

 
Highly regarded:

• Experience and skills in responding to clients who have experienced sexual assault &/ or other forms of abuse.
• Experience in responding to clients in crisis or following critical incidents.
• Experience in providing guidance and support to enhance outcomes for clients.
• Demonstrated experience of clinical work in social work or psychology, or multi-disciplinary settings.

• A number of probity checks are required including holding a current working with children and undertaking National police checks.
