Your role: We are recruiting a Registered Nurse who is able to work in our Midland clinic on a permanent, full-time providing Surgical Termination of Pregnancy (STOP), Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTOP), Vasectomy, Tubal Ligation, and Contraceptive services.
Location & Days: The clinic is located on Sayer Street, Midland. The clinic is open from Monday to Saturday, with lists commencing from 7am. Nursing staff are rostered with staggered start times from 7am until close of the list approx. 4pm - 6pm.
Your purpose: Will be to provide safe, high-quality client-centred care in our clinics. Working within a team of highly experienced sexual health nurses, you will work together to meet to goals and unique needs of our clients. You will provide education and clinical care as well as assisting in managing plans of care on ongoing support to our clients after discharge.
Your Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring high quality and empathetic nursing care to patients are in line with internal policies and procedures and best practice to ensure the best patient experience possible is achieved.
- Supporting the clinical team to provide a high level of client care throughout their journey with us.
- Reflectively engage in continuous improvement and support the achievement of targets relating to client care.
- A pro-choice advocate
- Bachelor of Nursing and current AHPRA registration (with at least 2 years' experience working as a Registered Nurse post-degree)
- Previous experience in Sexual & Reproductive Health
- Knowledge of National Accreditation Standards and ACORN standards
- Experience working in theatre and/or surgical environment
- Understand the importance of quality processes
- Willingness to learn with a non-judgmental attitude
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and ability to actively encourage a positive team culture including provision of excellent customer service
- Experience of achieving high standards with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
