INTRODUCTION TO THE ROLE
As part of the maintenance team, you will play a critical role in improving plant reliability and supporting efficiency improvements. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic manufacturing environment with a business targeted towards growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting breakdown repairs using fault diagnosis techniques to minimize downtime
- Identifying and recommending improvements in plant equipment for efficiency, yield and safety gains
- Enhancing systems reliability through preventative and predictive maintenance schedules
- Participating in cross-functional projects to support engineering with plant modifications or new installations
- Participating in Continuous Improvement activities and 5S initiatives
- Providing solutions to production issues related to plant throughput
- Ensuring maintenance records are up to date
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- Trade qualifications in Mechanical Fitting (dual trade highly regarded)
- At least 5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Strong commitment to EHS principles
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
- Computer literacy
- Ability to read and mark up drawings
- Exposure to or experience with Lean and Six Sigma principles
- Exposure to robotic systems desirable but not essential
- Experience in computerised maintenance management systems (SAP) highly desirable
This is a rotating shift position day / afternoon / night shift role or permanent night shift is also available.
