Reporting to the Production Superintendent, the primary focus of this role is to provide day-to-day leadership of a team with a key focus on production, reliability and continuous improvement to safely and efficiently achieve production and quality targets.
Your success in the role is determined by your proven ability to
- Ensure production activities are conducted safely in accordance with the relevant standards and operating procedures
- Promote safe behaviours and practices in accordance with Tomago’s key philosophy of ‘Mates looking after Mates‘
- Engage employees in identifying safety improvements and simplification/implementation of systems and processes to enable effectiveness and efficiency in production
- Provide day-to-day leadership, expertise and direction to achieve objectives and deliver a quality service
- Promote a culture of ownership and achievement through your highly developed coaching skills
- Build and develop a competent, engaged and committed team
- Communicate effectively with key business stakeholders
- Extensive experience in supervising and leading a team to achieve goals with the ability to effectively coach and manage performance
- Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Health and Safety principles and systems
- Solid presentation, communication and negotiation skills with ability to liaise at all levels of organisation
- Relevant on-the-job experience
- Proven experience leading teams to achieve goals, building team morale, performance and safety
- Certificate IV – Frontline Leadership (desirable)
- Superior planning and organising skills with the ability to establish work priorities
- Customer-focused with commitment to Quality & CI principles
- Sound PC skills -Microsoft Office and SAP
- Ability to work rotating shift roster (12hr 4x4)
