As the Shift Team Leader, you will be hands-on and responsible for managing the shift-to-shift operations of the factory and performance of the shift production team. You will ensure the safe and efficient operation of extrusion lines and production areas, achieving quality outputs and products that meet all standards and customer expectations.
What will you do?
- Lead and develop the health and safety culture for the team
- Provide leadership and supervision for the team on shift
- Engage and motivate the team and work with them to solve issues
- Provide support to operators and play a key role in their learning, development, competency and experience in daily operations, continuous improvement, safety and quality practices and effective teamwork
About you
- Demonstrated leadership experience and proven shift management of small/medium sized teams in continuous manufacturing/heavy industrial operations
- Mechanical aptitude and enthusiastic about automation
- Ability to set and align balanced operational priorities with the emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, throughput, proactive reporting, and a continuous improvement mindset
- Effective communication across workplace and workforce diversity
- Excellent time management, sense of urgency, results focussed
- Demonstrated collaborative style and cross functional engagement
- Licensed: Forklift, Confined Space Entry
