The Role
Showroom Design & Sales Consultant
The Showroom Design & Sales Consultant role encompasses all aspects of the sales process from the initial client liaison through to final product specification, order placement and delivery logistics support.
This role is pivotal to fostering close industry relationships, leads and continued sales growth for the Company.
The successful candidate will be driven to achieve sales in a high-end market and develop long-lasting relationships with retail customers, and leading interior designers / architects.
Your passion for sales will drive you to succeed and be rewarded with a generous commission structure as per your employment agreement.
Full-time (Tuesday to Saturday).
Primary Responsibilities
- Demonstrated high-end sales experience relevant to the residential interior design market, preferably in outdoor furniture.
- Manage end-to-end sales and logistics for trade and retail customers.
- Respond to in-store inquiries, over the phone and online.
- Provide pricing and product information in a timely manner.
- Deliver excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In conjunction with Showroom Manager, assist with showroom visual merchandising.
- General showroom maintenance.
- Saturday work is a key requirement of the role.
Other Responsibilities
- Proficiency Microsoft Office applications skills including Excel, Word, & Outlook.
- Preferred proficiency in MYOB.
- Be enthusiastic and have a positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
- The ability to be a flexible team-player, assist with day-to-day office workflow and support as needed.
- Professional telephone manner.
- A well-groomed personal presence is always expected.
- At least 2 years’ experience in furniture or similar high-end showroom.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrate professionalism by being well presented, punctual and reliable.
