About the role:
As a Signalling Systems Officer, you'll be responsible for delivering technical support, coaching, training and assessment for the installation, maintenance, and repair of Signalling Systems and equipment. Your duties will include conducting inspections and providing reports on the condition of signalling equipment and the effectiveness of maintenance efforts.
Your area of responsibility will span from Townsville to Cairns, and the Western district out to Mount Isa.
This role operates on a nine-day fortnight roster (with every second Friday off) and will be part of a rotation for night and weekend call-outs.
In this role you will:
- Provide technical support to Network staff
- Conduct workplace coaching, training and assessment
- Progress the implementation and application of quality principles and practices
- Conduct technical inspections and audits
- Investigate and report on Signalling Systems
- Test, commission and maintain signalling equipment
- Maintain all records and associated documentation
About you:
- Must have Certificate IV Railway Signalling
- Must have current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- Must have current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence
- Must have the capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
