Role Overview: As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the activities of the SIL house team, ensuring that the support provided aligns with the individual needs and goals of NDIS participants. Your leadership will foster a collaborative environment, enhance service quality, and ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines and policies.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Driver’s License: A current and valid driver's license.
- Working Rights: Proof of documentation for valid working rights in Australia.
- NDIS Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of NDIS guidelines and policies.
- Disability Experience: Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities.
- Team Leadership: One to three years of experience working as a Team Leader.
- Advocacy Skills: Strong ability to advocate for the rights and needs of clients.
- Staff Management: Experience in managing staff and work placement students.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and Patience: Empathy and patience when working with clients with diverse needs.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Organisational Skills: Organisational skills for managing caseload and documentation.
- Client-Centred Care: A commitment to delivering client-centred care.
- Participant-Centred Support: Prioritise and ensure that the support provided by the SIL house team aligns with the individual needs and goals of NDIS participants.
- Team Management and Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the activities of the support team, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance the quality and consistency of services.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of NDIS policies and guidelines, ensuring that the SIL house team operates in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Continuous Improvement and Training: Implement strategies for ongoing staff development, training, and performance evaluation to enhance the competency and capabilities of the SIL house team.
- Effective Communication: Facilitate clear and open communication channels within the team, with NDIS participants, and other stakeholders to address concerns, share information, and maintain a positive and supportive environment.
