Bauer Foundations is a market leader in piling and ground engineering solutions with a national footprint and continued growth. We are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join our team.
As a Site Engineer you will be responsible for the following
- Review of documents and compilation of ground model
- Participate in meetings with Clients and Consultants when required.
- Provide technical guidance to construction teams and troubleshoot any technical problems that may arise during the construction process.
- Coordinate with the team, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Ensure that construction activities comply with specifications and method statements and other project documentation.
- Implement quality control procedures to ensure that workmanship and materials meet project standards.
- Conduct inspections throughout the construction process.
- Identify and resolve any quality issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in the preparation and implementation of the project plans.
- Carry out and document temporary works designs for projects.
- Undertake site operations meetings and HSEQ implementation.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
About you:
- 2–3 years’ relevant experience in the ground engineering sector (contracting / consulting)
- An active interest in technical aspects of geotechnical / piling / ground improvement.
- Ability to work through technical documents, drawings, specifications, and accurately compile tenders.
- Organised and pro-actively seek advice and review.
- Possess people management skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Work well both in a team environment and on your own
- Have a quality and safety focus.
- Local experience and knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes of Practice
