We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Food Technologist to join our Technical team at our Berkeley Vale Manufacturing Facility.
The Position
This permanent full-time role will report into the Technical Manager and will be responsible for ensuring adherence to food safety, quality and legality standards across the site. They will provide quality assurance, manufacturing and technical support.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:
· Develop and maintain the site Food Defence plan as well as provide support for all other departmental Food Defence initiatives on site.
· Deliver site quality system objectives including GMP, HACCP and BRC certification as well as compliance to the Supply Chain Standards, Concessions, CARs across all areas of the site.
· Develop and maintain pre-requisite programs for all HACCP plans on site.
· Actively promote food safety culture across the site.
· Provide support for traceability, business continuity plans and mock recall.
· Address corrective action requests (CARs), when necessary. Ensure CARs generated from audits are completed.
· Analysis of various utilities on site, monitoring test results to ensure quality is maintained.
· Perform other duties as required including but not limited to relieving team members as required and attending training and meetings.
The Requirements
· Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology or related science area at a minimum of a bachelor’s level.
· HACCP Qualification.
· Approximately 5 years’ experience in FMCG is advantageous.
· Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with others.
· Productive and robust problem-solving ability in a high-pressure environment.
· Strong influencing skills but also ability to compromise, be flexible and solution driven in your approach.
