We have an exciting opportunity for a Cereals Senior Food Technologist to join our Technical team at our Berkeley Vale Manufacturing Site on a 6-month maternity leave contract.
The Position
The primary purpose of this role is to provide high level of quality and technical support and advice to our Cereals Production Team. Further, as the Senior Food Technologist in the Cereals Department, this role will provide leadership and guidance to other team members operating within the technical team.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:
- Develop and maintain accurate quality systems and related documentation for product, materials and processes.
- Ensure site is compliant to internal and external food processing standard.
- Lead and mentor the Cereals Technical Officer. Work collaboratively with the wider technical team, production teams and other support service departments.
- Responsible for the release or holding of stock.
- Provide technical knowledge and expertise when trialing new processes, packaging or recipes.
- Monitor customer complaint trends and initiate action as required.
- Promotes site vision and the delivery of the Cereals Manufacturing Strategy.
About You!
- Tertiary qualifications in Food Technology or related science area at a minimum of a bachelor's level.
- HACCP Qualification.
- Approximately 5 years' experience in FMCG.
- Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively with others.
- Works productively in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Strong influencing skills but also ability to compromise, be flexible and solution driven in your approach.
