We are currently seeking a Site Foreman with previous multi residential experience who is driven, passionate and a team player. Previous experience is essential in all civil, structural and finishes trades preferably in the multi res space.
Only those with a proven track record, results focused, sound construction knowledge and a good eye for detail should apply.
The Site Foreman is responsible for the direct onsite supervision of staff and subcontractors and through the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and other management techniques to meet the project requirements by ensuring that all works are constructed and completed in accordance with contract documents.
The Site Foreman provides leadership, mentoring and direction to;
- Any direct labour and subordinate members of the Construction Team, and Subcontractors to ensure that all works are logically constructed in a fair and ethical manner whilst optimising value for the Company
Key Result Areas
The Site Foreman position aims to improve and leverage the reputation of the company by:
- In collaboration with the Site Manager and Construction Manager, oversee project delivery to meet specified program, commercial and quality targets.
- Coordinate, review, monitor and supervise direct and subcontract site activities and work.
- Maintain and manage records, files and documents on site.
- Audit workmanship and ensure that any required re-work is done so expediently, to not present a program, cost or quality risk.
- Prepare submissions, reports and other correspondence associated with construction activities and the OHS management function as required.
- Ensure all Inspection and Test Plans (ITP’s) are prepared, and all works are completed to the requirements of trade ITP’s – no works to proceed past hold and witness points without specific inspections and sign offs having been completed and to ensure that proper quality is maintained.
- Manage project finalisation to ensure internal defects inspection and rectification is undertaken to achieve defect free completion and that retention monies are claimed and released as per the terms of the contract.
- Ensure all subcontractors are fulfilling all their “Scope of Works”.
- Prepare Defects Lists and mange close out of all defects with subcontractors ahead of applicable completion dates.
- In conjunction with the Construction Manager and Site Manager be responsible for the project program and ensure that employees and subcontractors complete works to meet program by:
- Interpreting documentation in order to direct the progress of work and monitor compliance.
- Translate general work requirements into a prioritised work plan for the employees and subcontractors.
- Engage with employees or subcontractors to overcome program challenges.
