Form of workWe are seeking a Site Foreman to oversee retaining wall construction. The company are a local manufacturer of concrete sleepers and offer installation services. Working with tier 1 land developers on residential subdivisions, our client contract to the principle civil earthworks contractor to deliver retaining walls. Projects are located all throughout South East Queensland. You will report into the Project Manager and be supported by a crew of inhouse or subcontractor installers and machinery operators, as well as a Contracts Administrator and Construction Coordinator based in the office.
Remuneration Structure
Up to $110,000 + Superannuation + Fully Maintained Company Vehicle (subject to experience and fit)
Hours of Work
Monday– Friday 50 hour week between the hours of 6:00am and 4:00pm (this is at maximum)
What We Are Looking For
- Trade Background: The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification in Carpentry, Landscaping, Bricklaying or Concreting.
- Construction Knowledge: A strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials, particularly related to retaining wall construction.
- Site Management: Proficiency in managing construction sites, including coordinating labor, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Quality Control: The ability to monitor construction activities and ensure that retaining walls are built to specified standards and meet quality requirements.
- Problem-Solving Skills: The capacity to identify issues or challenges that arise during construction and develop effective solutions to keep the project on track.
- Along with Communication Skills, Leadership Abilities, Time Management, Attention to Detail, Client Relationship Management, Adaptability and Documentation Skills
