Site It Support Engineer

Genesis Minerals are currently seeking a Site Support Engineer to join our IT team. This is a permanent opportunity based on site in our Gwalia mine site.
 
Reporting to the Manager IT Services, you will provide support of IT operations and projects for all operating Genesis sites within the Leonora region.
 
This is a permanent full-time opportunity on a 8 days on, 6 days off roster Fly-In Fly-Out, Drive-in Drive-out, or Residential basis.
 
Flight time from Perth, is just over 1 hour to Leonora then a short bus ride to your accommodation in town and a 10-minute drive to our Gwalia mine site.
 
The opportunity:

• Providing support for all users across Leonora province, ensuring timely resolution of IT incidents and requests both individually and via working with third parties.
• Maintain work and tracking of issues within company service management toolsets, ensuring that work is delivered within specified SLAs and OLAs.
• Own the end-to-end resolution of tickets, ensuring satisfaction of site-based Genesis employees with services delivered.
• Help to scope and deliver IT projects, taking full ownership for site schedule and deliverables and managing exceptions and stakeholders as required.
• Provide L1 support and triage where out of hours for service desk (currently Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays).
• Maintain accurate information relating to the IT asset register across Leonora province locations.
• Help to build processes and procedures for the Genesis IT department and help to build the foundation for new services into the future.
• Maintain site server rooms/comms racks and other IT locations to ensure they meet site safety standards, complete daily checks and ensure that risks in relation to ongoing operations are managed effectively.
• Manage site-based IT assets and ensuring stock levels are held at an appropriate level.

What we will expect from you:

• Tertiary qualification in relevant IT field.
• ITIL Foundations certification.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Server environments.
• Experience in supporting Cisco networks.
• Experience in building and administration of Microsoft Server products including installation and troubleshooting.
• Application upgrade experience, keeping site based applications and services up to date.
• Experience with LAN’s and WAN’s including racking and stacking switches/routers, troubleshooting of connectivity issues and basic network configuration of switches and on site devices.
• Experience with maintenance of active directory and group policy
• Experience with Microsoft Modern Desktop technologies including ability to administer InTune and package software as required
