The opportunity
Are you ready to take the helm of a dynamic retail operation and lead it to new heights? We are seeking a passionate and experienced Site Manager for the Madonna House Retail Shop in Toowoomba to foster innovation and continuous improvement. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by overseeing all aspects of our retail operation, ensuring its success and alignment with our values and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Site Manager, you will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the Madonna House Retail Shop:
Retail Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of dedicated staff and volunteers, providing clear direction and appropriate delegation to achieve outstanding results, including induction, training, and development support.
Operational Excellence: Manage end-to-end retail operations, including inventory management, distribution, workplace safety, and budget management, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while striving for best practices.
Inventory and Supply Chain Management: Implement effective strategies in stock management, buying, and ordering to optimize inventory levels and meet customer demands.
Ownership and Accountability: Take ownership of retail operations outcomes, including financial performance, inventory control, supply chain management, workplace health and safety, and people management.
Volunteer Engagement: Nurture a volunteer-centered culture, providing support and assistance to volunteers and offering development opportunities.
This is a permanent, full-time position (38 hours per week) based in Toowoomba.
To be successful in the role, you will meet the following selection criteria:
• Previous experience in retail, warehousing, and logistics. Managing site operations to a high standard.
• Relevant Tertiary or TAFE Qualification in Retail Operations, Business Management, Warehousing and Distribution or equivalent experience
• Defined understanding of warehousing and logistics operations including inventory management, distribution and supply chain management, WH&S and people management
• Ability to lead and manage others including well-developed interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
• Demonstrated experience and understanding in general office support functions, data entry and the ability to perform a broad range of clerical functions
• Understanding and ability to effectively use a computer whilst demonstrating ability in MS Office programs
• Demonstrate genuine respect for all people regardless of their situation
• Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
