REGYP is a sustainable agribusiness.
We are currently seeking a hands on, mechanically minded production manager to lead an experienced team operating our recycling and minerals processing plant in Willowbank in Brisbane's Western suburbs.
As a member of the Operations Team, you will join a team of leaders committed to adding value to our customers' businesses through quality products and unique service initiatives.
This role has strong stakeholder focus and will require you to liaise directly with sales, logistics and customers regarding stock availability production and truck loading.
As you monitor production trends you will also work with procurement staff to maintain a ready supply of raw materials, and undertake regular stock takes to ensure there is sufficient product to meet orders.
This is definitely a 'hands-on role' requiring a strong mechanical background. In addition to managing maintenance activities, this person will help diagnose faults and defects on the production equipment. In partnership with the National Operations Manager, you will also plan and schedule major and routine repairs and maintenance of the processing assets so as to minimise interruptions to production.
Day to day, you will be responsible for the performance and competency of your production team and delivery truck drivers: delegating and overseeing work tasks; and providing training to ensure your people comply with our rigorous quality, safety and environmental standards and systems.
This opportunity will appeal to a proven leader from a trade background who takes pride in looking after their equipment and people to ensure that a top quality product is manufactured.
Previous experience in minerals processing and bulk materials handling operations will be essential in order to make a successful transition. Other experience such as mining and agriculture would be beneficial.
In order to apply, applicants must also have:
- A relevant engineering trade or degree;
- Experience operating a crushing/screening plant, earthmoving equipment and conveyors and milling plants;
- Experience in managing staff in a production or maintenance environment
- Loader experience - driver's competency ticket desired but not essential;
- Skills using MS Office products;
- An understanding of health and safety requirements of a crushing plant;
- A current driver's licence
A competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant.
