About the role
The Site Manager will act as the role model, point of contact and be responsible for overseeing the management and operations of First Peoples’ Health and Wellbeing Frankston clinic. You will ensure high standards of client care, appropriate risk management and documentation is upheld whilst maintaining strong community relationships. This hands-on role requires an understanding of the health care system including government funding, Medicare funding and strong report writing skills. You will be responsible for the day-to-day and performance management of all Frankston team members with the support of the Director of Clinical Operations and Director Corporate Services . This role currently reports to the Director of Clinical Operations and you will play a key role within the Senior Leadership Team. You will work closely with the other Site Manager - Baluk Balert Barring (Early Parenting Centre).
About you
You will be a friendly, respectful person with strong management and leadership qualities as well as organisational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise. You will be passionate about working in the Aboriginal Primary Health care sector and have a strong sense of clinical safety and cultural safety. Demonstrated ability to manage an evolving and fast paced workplace to ensure the best outcomes for clients and staff. We require skilled and professional workers who can demonstrate building strong relationships and trust with the people they work with, as well as having a good understanding of the Aboriginal communities First Peoples’ Health and Wellbeing services.

Essential
- A good understanding of the Aboriginal communities First Peoples’ Health and Wellbeing services.
- Minimum two years’ experience in a management role.
- Tertiary qualification in health, social science or management related discipline.
- Solid understanding of the health system including Medicare.
- Ability to interact in a friendly and respectful way with clients and staff at all levels to achieve goals and outcomes.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member team, creating positive client, family, carer and staff relationships.
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical governance and safety, ensuring this is maintained within the clinic.
- Knowledge of and willingness to respond to the needs of clients with complex or special needs, managing feedback in a timely manner.
- Excellent administration skills including flexibility, organisational and prioritisation.
- High level computer knowledge and skills
Desirable
- Experience in the AGPAL Accreditation Process
- Experience using Medical Software such as Best Practice
- First aid, CPR or other related certificates
Mandatory checks
- National police check (upon commencement)
- Current Working with Children’s Check (upon commencement)
- Two current referees
