SalaryConecta is working with a fast growing builder based in SE Melbourne. This builder provides high quality solutions across the Commercial, Education, Childcare and Multi Residential sectors ranging from $3M - $15M.
Due to continued growth, and in line with planned resourcing needs the business is currently seeking a new Site Manager. The business has a big focus on relationships, they aim for strong on-going client relationships, encourage ideas and ingenuity, promote from within, invest in modern solutions and work hard to ensure that it is a great place to work for all staff. The business has a strong pipeline of ongoing work, leveraged by their secure long-term relationships with their clients.
The Role
As a Site Manager you will be responsible for all Site operations in conjunction with and assisted by the Project Manager in charge of delivery. The main duties include:
Oversee the implementation of all site operations including HSEQ requirements
Monitor progress of works against the current construction program and ensure all trades are coordinating with each other
Manage and coach staff effectively, leading the team in achieving project and personal goals
Oversee, coach and mentor the works of the Site Supervision team
Oversee the quality of trade works to ensure the required standard is achieved in all cases
Issue site instructions and other correspondence as required to trade contractors and consultants
Liaise with the Client and ensure a long-standing relationship is maintained
Report to senior management on a regular basis and advise of any current or potential issues
About You
Trade or tertiary qualification in Building, Construction or Engineering
Current Senior First Aid
Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
High level ability to read and interpret drawings
Well-developed planning skills including industry knowledge regarding lead times for delivery and trade works
Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams and individuals
Knowledge of the work of construction trades and ability to assess the quality of workmanship
