Site Manager (Katherine Fifo)

NT locals will be given preference, however we are open to qualified applicants who are FIFO from Brisbane / Gold Coast / Sunshine Coast QLD also. We do not FIFO from New Zealand / WA / NSW / TAS / ACT / SA for this role.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Site Manager to join JJJ to assist the NT Projects Manager in small ($1 - $5M) Defence projects and other locations in Katherine and across the NT. The position is based in Katherine, requiring regular site travel between Katherine, Mount Bundey, and our newly built camp accommodations in outer Katherine (approx. 15 minutes from town centre). 

Roster: FIFO 3/1 (we don't work Sundays!) or 5/2 for Katherine/Darwin locals. 

Reporting to the NT Projects Manager, the ideal candidate will be have 5+ years experience in a small to medium decentralised business. With established onsite projects and team, you will hit the ground running and be able to work autonomously, but also work well with the existing offsite Commercial, HR, WHS, Environmental, Finance and Administration teams. 

You will have demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage subcontractors, employees, suppliers, and equipment procurement. With excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic and be able to communicate at all levels internally and externally across a suite of technology and programs. 

• Minimum 5 years Site / Projects Management and site-based exposure. 
• Availability to travel / work away from home on a 3/1 roster if you are FIFO OR if you are a Darwin local, the ability to travel / work away Mon-Fri from during the week and stay in our newly built camp accommodations (complete with an onsite Chef and all meals and accommodation for FIFO and Darwin locals). 
• Hold Construction Induction White Card (mandatory). 
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
• Tertiary qualification in Site or Project Management, Building, Construction or similar. 
• Ability to work with clients, leadership, and other project teams and communicate with all levels of the work and construction lifecycle.
• Exposure to site plans, contract administration, claims, reporting, budget, expenditure and finance.
• Ability to provide support and coordination to site-based delivery teams.
• Distribute project design information to site teams, consultants, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance of our Safety Management Plans, project scopes and plans and participate in audits, inspections, toolboxes and compliance reporting. 
• Ensure quality and safety standards remain high to minimise harm/injury.
• Help overcome issues that arise from time to time and escalate to HR.

PLEASE NOTE: The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a defence DCAC clearance, a National Police Certificate is a mandatory requirement of this role.
