In your new role as the Site manager, you will be responsible for the successful completion of commercial pool construction projects to the client’s specification, on time and within budget. The Site Manager is also responsible for the supervision and coordination of site personnel and subcontractors, the reporting of all relevant site activities, management of quality aspects and ensuring that all Workplace Health and Safety standards are maintained at all times.
You will be required to manage multiple sites across their commercial high rise project portfolio.
- Ensure the daily programming of all site work is performed in accordance with the company construction program.
- In conjunction with the Construction Manager, plan and review the overall status of project(s) on an ongoing basis.
- Ensure all site resources are effectively utilised and monitored in order to achieve timely completion of projects.
- Effectively manage materials and ensure that orders for consumables are correctly quantified.
- Upon completion of the task, ensure all appropriate hiring in plant and equipment is promptly off hired.
- Comply with the relevant Workplace Health & Safety legislation, company policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensure that site SWMS is understood and applied at all times by all employees under the leading hand's supervision.
- Complete site paperwork (Inspection Test Plans, toolbox talk records).
What you'll need to succeed
Sound knowledge of construction processes within the pool building sector.
Able to read and interpret construction drawings relevant to each project.
Have a sound knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety standards with an ability to promote a proactive safety culture and to stop and address unsafe work or practices.
You must be organised, level-headed and quality-driven.
Be able to effectively handle stress and high pressure.
Be able to execute and manage daily site activities independently and have strong problem-solving capabilities.
Strong structures & finishes backgrounds with the ability to read and interpret complex drawings.
