Your Role
Reporting to the Site Services Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out onsite service and monitoring of work on high-voltage slip-ring motors and large-type DC motors for a broad client range nationally and some infrequent travel to Southeast Asia.
Duties and responsibilities
- Setting up and machining of slip rings and commutators
- Removal, repair and assembly of brush gear and slip rings
- Perform site inspections and audits of DC and AC motors
- Perform basic electrical static testing, as required
- Compile and submit inspection reports, including results of all testing
- Organise mobilization to and from customer sites
- QLD Electrical licence
- Previous exposure to the mining industry is preferred but not essential
- Ability to work autonomously onsite
- Frequent travel across Australia as well as occasional work on the weekend
