AddressCopper Resources Australia acquired the Rocklands site located 17km north of Cloncurry in December 2020 and and has recently undergone an intense re-commissioning phase of the process plant. The plant is now fully operational.
About the role
Reporting to the Processing Supervisor, the Site Labourer - Site Services is part of a broader team, responsible for supporting the smooth operation of the processing plant, assisting with maintenance of equipment and worksites.
You will be required to:
- Support the process team, contractors, and operators with general labouring assistance by operating hand and power tools and preparing worksites.
- Report all equipment failures, incidents, and hazards immediately to appropriate personnel with a high level of responsibility for the safety of the team.
- Ensure the worksite and associated equipment is clean, safe, and ready for use.
The desired candidates will have the following:
- Demonstrated experience performing dewatering duties in a mining environment (desirable).
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Poly Welding skills highly advantageous
- Transferable skills from any number of backgrounds such as metal trades, landscaping or plumbing.
- Current manual drivers’ licence.
- Loader ticket (RII).
- Working at Heights.
- Current manual drivers’ licence.
- A commitment to Safe Work Practices and a strong work ethic.
- Physically fit and able to work in hot and sometimes physically demanding conditions.
