About the role
Part merch wizard, part customer service, part event coordination, part copywriter, part digital marketing - all about beer, with enjoyment. This is a position for that young marketing gun that is ready to get their breakout gig and put themselves firmly on the path to an epic career in marketing. The role will be very hands-on, working with a small team that punches above its weight in the beer octagon. This is a job for someone excited to have a crack at everything and make themselves a well rounded marketer and brand builder.
Some stuff you’ll be doing
- Merch... help curate our beloved seasonal merch range alongside our designers, fulfil orders, customer service, social content and manage stock through Shopify.
- Customer Service... Answer customer questions on the phone, via email and on socials. As John Farnham once said, you're the voice (of Balter).
- Event Management... We run top notch super fun events and you'll be responsible for bringing them to life with your attention to detail and desire to make sure all our guests leave with a big old grin.
- Digital Marketing... we'd love to find somebody who has some skills across the digital marketing sphere including database marketing, social media, and can work confidently with our digital folk
- Copywriting... we have a great brand voice that manifests across all our comms platforms. You'll be helping deliver that voice with your primo copywriting skills.
- Be organised... Help plan Balter's online marketing calendar and how it will roll out.
- Ideation... Be part of brainstorming that leads to awesome ideas.

About you
You’re organised, like dealing with people and are ready to learn while doing. You have solid copywriting skills, (some) digital marketing experience, general marketing experience (like a degree or internship would be nice) but if you can prove you've got the skills to get the job done with enjoyment, then we're ready to be convinced. You're prepared to travel, are a good communicator, and are handy in the digital marketing space. Finally, and this is probably the most important, you're a good egg who loves being part of a small team that gets big things done.
