AddressCoal Augering Services is currently the only Highwall Mining Company in Australia, established in 2003, who uses unique coal mining equipment to recover coal reserves from beyond the final highwall position in open cut mines. Coal Augering Services is seeking Supervisors (3) to join our expanding crews of auger miners as we ramp up production in Central Queensland. One position is for immediate start with another 2 positions becoming available approx. August 2024.
Location: Bowen Basin, Central Queensland
Description of Duties:
- To comply with and act in accordance with the safety and health management system
- Client liaison
- Reporting, including use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc…
- Maintenance planning and supervision
- Filing and record keeping of all documents
- Be able to implement and apply the risk management process.
- Direction of the work force in production and compliance activities
- Roster is currently 7 days on, 7 days off – day shift only.
Preferable Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience as a Supervisor on a Coal Mine
- Experience with gas detectors and gas management would be highly regarded.
- Small work group experience, willingness to jump in and help the team out when required with excellent communication and team building skills.
- Live local or be located close enough to drive in and out to site.
Minimum Requisite Pre-Employment Competencies:
- Open Queensland Driver's Licence
- Current Coal Board Medical
- Current Standard 11 Qld Coal Mining Induction
- Current S123 (G1 G8 G9) Mine Site Safety Supervisor
- Current G2 Carry out the Risk Management Process
