AddressLifestyle Constructions NQ Pty Ltd are seeking a full-time Site Supervisor/Team Leader with a comprehensive carpentry background.

The successful candidate will need 5+ years experience in a similar role, an enthusiastic, energised, and confident leader who is hands on, excellent at problem solving and remains calm under pressure. This position would suit an adaptable, quick learner with a great work ethic and can-do attitude who is also keen for career progression within our dynamic company, you will also be a strong advocate for site safety with a good knowledge of building methodologies, QLD legislation and building codes.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Hands on Carpentry – completing all aspects of the trade.
- Trade Qualification required.
- Oversee Site Labour and Management of Subcontractors when required
- Quality Management of all trades and finishes
- Ensure construction takes place in line with Construction programme and supporting staff and Subcontractors to achieve milestones and deadlines
- Liaise with Sub-contractors and Project Manager/ Director to ensure construction meets current building code and standards
- Co-ordinate, schedule and manage deliveries to site
- Read and interpret plans and specifications accurately
- Ensure OHS standards are met at all times
- Assist the Project Manager in programming of upcoming works
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 5 years+ experience
- Excellent carpentry skill
- Structures and Finishing experience highly regarded
- Sound understanding of Construction Plans and Specifications
- Strong understanding of construction progress stage dates
- Broad understanding of OHS laws and procedures
- A well organized and skillful communicator
- Strong problem solving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Hold a current first aid certificate (or willing to obtain one)
- A good level of computer literacy
The successful applicant must have:
- Trade Qualification
- A valid QLD Driver’s License & Construction White Card
- Practical Experience in all aspects of residential building
- Practical experience as a carpenter in building/construction industry
- Be motivated to succeed, punctual, reliable, with a positive attitude
- Have the ability to complete all tasks of the job
- On the job problem solving skills and work well in a team
- Assist upcoming apprentices on the job as needed
About the Job
- This full time position is working at a remote site
- working a 10 days on / 4 days off roster
- All transportation to and from site, meals, accommodation & equipment are provided for remote site works
- Above award wages with overtime for remote site work
