Water Infrastructure Services (WIS) is a commercial diving, civil construction and maintenance provider based primarily in South East Queensland specialising in subsea inspection, construction, maintenance, and the development of water infrastructure. Due to recent growth and expansion in the marine and diving industry, Water Infrastructure Services (WIS) is looking for experienced ADAS certified commercial dive supervisors to join our team on an ongoing fulltime basis, to assist with multiple upcoming projects.

About the Role
This position focusses on supporting the Marine and Diving Manager and Project Manager in the delivery of site works as per Job Cards, corporate policies, and procedures. This position is a critical link in the delivery of the Capital Works and Renewals projects for our clients and requires a high level of coordination skills and liaison between field teams, suppliers, contractors, Senior Management and client representatives.
In this position, your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking site tasks and activities to ensure completion of Job Cards.
- Perform regular inspections of dive site and works
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with corporate policies, and procedures
- Ensure all personnel comply with health and safety practices
- Ensure all dives are conducted in accordance with AS2299.1 to avoid DCI
- Working collaboratively with Dive Teams
- Ensure water quality standards and underwater cleaning techniques are adhered to.
- Lead and coordinate job resourcing requirements with internal teams and subcontractors as per purchasing procedures
- Assist project managers with planning work activities
As part of the full time contract, we offer the following:

Although most of the work is located around South East Queensland, when working outside of these areas, WIS provide a remote working allowance, meals and travel.
About You
Successful applicants will have a proven record of experience across a range of diving capabilities and skill sets and will be expected to lead dive teams in a proactive manner to achieve a professional outcome for our clients. In addition to the below requirements, the successful candidate will have experience in dive job planning, time management, communication skills, knowledge of marine infrastructure, be willing to travel, and conduct service and maintenance of dive equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum ADAS Part 2 or Part 3 Commercial Diver
- ADAS Dive Supervisor Ticket
- Current Dive Medical
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Current O2 Provider
- Construction diving experience
- Subsea inspection experience
- Working at Heights, within 2 years, or able to attain prior to employment
- Confined Space, within 2 years, or able to attain prior to employment
- Construction Industry White Card
Desired competencies
- HR licence
- Coxswain
- Forklift ticket
- Certification in construction or associated trade
- Drone Operators Accreditation
