About Us
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Yard Site Supervisor to join our Saint Marys Recycling Team.
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for directing, coordinating, and scheduling the work of employees which is continuous and fast paced.
Desired Skills and Experience
Role Responsibilities:
- Assign tasks and job roles to employees for the shift to ensure production targets are met.
- Manage production feed rates and product yields to meet production targets.
- Ensure Plant operates at maximum efficiency during the shift.
- Ensure the quality of materials is maintained for both in and out feeds.
- Ensure we always maintain a high level of customer service.
- Manage truck waiting times and ensure the yard is not overly congested throughout the shift.
- Coordinate with the Maintenance Supervisor to manage planned equipment maintenance and minimise downtime on shift.
- Respond to breakdowns and coordinate with maintenance to ensure plant is operational.
- Identify equipment maintenance issues and liaise with General Manager to resolve these issues.
- Ensure employees complete pre-start check at start of each shift.
- Promptly investigate all incidents of plant/ equipment damage from misuse and report.
- Ensure all plant start up and shut down procedures are performed safely, efficiently, and according to company procedures.
- Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are followed, and PPE is worn at all times.
To be considered for this role you must meet the below selection criteria;
- Experience working at a Recycling Centre / Waste Facility
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use two-way radio
- Commitment to safety
- Hard working and reliable
- Must be able to implement Quality Control
- Must have experience in managing a team
