Miwatj Health Aboriginal Corporation is looking for a Social and Emotional Well Being (SEWB) Case Manager aims to provide high quality wellbeing services to clients across the East Arnhem Land region who live with a mental illness, through flexible, holistic, and culturally sensitive service delivery. Travel to communities in light aircraft will be required on a regular basis.

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to securing quality health care services across the East Arnhem and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary health care to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. With a Head Office in Nhulunbuy, Miwatj also manages a Corporate Office in Darwin, 7 fixed clinics across the East Arnhem region, and dedicated outreach teams who travel to 3 additional locations.
Essential Requirements
The Social and Emotional Well Being (SEWB) Case Manager will provide case management to clients in a trauma informed, strengths-based approach with the aim of building their capacity and addressing their needs as identified in their case plan.
Candidates must have a valid Working with Children Check and demonstrate understanding of principles of person- centred care, trauma informed care andrecovery-oriented practice with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the SEWB/ Community Services sector and will also have an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal Community Control, self-determination, and the issues faced by Yolŋu people living in remote settings and understanding of the issues faced by Yolngu people living in remote settings;
