HQ Group has turned a disused platform of Flinders Street Station into a dining boardwalk along the Yarra River (Birrarung) - Arbory; created the summer-loving temporary floating restaurant and bar - Afloat; and brought HER - an entire building dedicated to dining, drinking, art, and music to the heart of Melbourne.
What We Are Looking For
This person is a creative content and social producer working at the intersection of culture, food, and events. They are storytellers, love the unexpected and think outside the square in pursuit of delivering fresh and innovative content. They combine strategy with creativity and publish accurate and market leading content across multiple brands, in a fast-paced environment. They’ve spent several occasions, days, or nights at HQ Group venues, and are energetic, sociable and always down for a good time.
The Role
Develop and execute market leading Social Media activity that increases engagement and reach across HQ Group’s growing portfolio of hospitality venues and businesses. The Social Media activity supports existing and upcoming brands, special events, promotions, people, and media/pr. Identifying newsworthy and fresh narratives, creating elite content, and bringing a community brand ambassador style approach is key to succeeding in this role. This role works closely with the marketing team, directors, venue managers, on-ground team, collaborators, partners, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Be the custodian of existing and future HQ Group Social Media accounts
- Develop the Social Media Content calendar for several brands, planning and scheduling posts in advance
- Create, capture, edit and publish original and high-quality content (reels, posts, stories, video)
- Develop copy in line with brand guidelines and tone of voice
- Brainstorm new and creative social growth strategies alongside the marketing team
- Respond directly to comments and questions on Social Media posts and direct messages, and interact with like minded brands
- Report performance of socials and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
- Identify trends and insights, and optimise spend and performance based on these insights
- Liaise with venue staff and external suppliers to curate content
Role Requirements
- 3+ years experience working in agency or in house
- Deeply passionate about the hospitality industry, food, drinks, art, culture, guest experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Ability to produce creative and engaging posts, reels and stories
- Exceptional task and project management skills across multiple work streams and timelines
- Excellent written communication skills, grammar, and spelling, with a high attention to detail
- Decision maker, collaborator and person that thinks outside the square
- Ability to work autonomously
