ABOUT THE ROLE 

We are looking for a dynamic Social & Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing group Marketing team. Based in Sydney, you will work across all our brands and venues to drive and support our digital presence.

The Social & Digital Marketing Specialist is a key role in the marketing team at Epochal. Reporting to our Group Head of Marketing, you will ensure Epochal has a creative and fresh best-in-class digital marketing strategy to drive growth, disrupt the status quo, excite target markets, drive sales growth and customer acquisition to align with Epochal’s overarching group strategies and goals.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in our Sydney office (Manly), where you will spend most of your time. We have a flexible WFH policy. You will spend some time in our venues, particularly during your onboarding period, to help you get to know our brands and our teams. 

Key Responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive Social Media strategies to achieve marketing objectives and drive business growth.
  • Identify key target audiences and tailor content and messaging to resonate with each segment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Social Media Marketing to ensure strategies remain innovative and effective.

Content Creation:

  • Create engaging and visually appealing content for Social Media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Produce a variety of content types, including photos, videos, graphics, and written posts, that showcase the unique features and offerings of Epochal Hotels.

Community Engagement:

  • Monitor Social Media channels for mentions, comments, and messages, and respond promptly and professionally to inquiries and feedback.
  • Foster meaningful interactions with followers, building relationships and loyalty through authentic engagement.
  • Encourage user-generated content and leverage user-generated content in marketing campaigns.

Campaign Management:

  • Plan and execute Social Media advertising campaigns to reach target audiences and achieve specific marketing objectives, such as driving bookings or promoting special offers.
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and optimize campaigns for maximum effectiveness and ROI.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, events, and guest services, to integrate Social Media into broader marketing initiatives.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Embed our CRM and business data into the core of our Social Media strategy and execution. 
  • Track and analyze Social Media metrics and KPIs to measure the success and impact of Social Media initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports detailing performance insights, trends, and recommendations for optimization.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform future strategies and tactics.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in Social Media Marketing, preferably in the hospitality or travel industry.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful Social Media strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of Social Media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Proficiency in Social Media management tools, analytics platforms, and graphic design software.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for hospitality and travel, with a customer-centric mindset.
