The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate the delivery of social and emotional wellbeing activities (SEWB), including coordinate a team of workers. The role will provide leadership in SEWB capacity and ensure the delivery of services adapt to the changing needs of community, whilst ensuring quality, timeliness, and effective service delivery. The position will work with local community and stakeholders to delivery local projects and programs which focus on increasing the social and emotional wellbeing of individuals, young people, family, and community.
Specific requirements of this position include but are not limited to;
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in mental health, Social Services including social work, or similar field, or relevant workplace experience
- Demonstrated skill and/or ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons.
- Demonstrated experience in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of health programs
- Well-developed understanding of services delivery in community setting and within continuous improvement framework
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and consultation skills and the ability to proactively establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a team to achieve outcomes and high performance
- Experience or interest in the use of technology to improve health outcomes
