The successful incumbent will be taking on the role of Acute Care Team Leader.This position will lead the Social WorkAcute Care Team at Nepean Hospital in providing Social Work to inpatients and their families. As the Team Leader, you will ensure that all team members work closely with medical, nursing, and other allied health staff to offer a comprehensive Social Work service to patients and their families who present at Nepean Hospital. Duties will also include accepting and prioritising referrals and providing case management when appropriate.In this position, you will participate as a member of the multi- disciplinary teams including attending case conferences and clinical planning meetings as required. - Extensive specialist knowledge and clinical experience working with psychosocial issues in health care
- Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical services of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills
- Demonstrated capacity to provide a consultancy service to health staff in relation to psychosocial issues in health care
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical supervision
- Extensive experience in a health setting
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse range of tasks, work under pressure and manage a team
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation skills
