Role Status: Multiple Full-Time Ongoing VacanciesRemuneration: AHP1/PO1 ($67,466 - $82,359 p.a.) + 11% Superannuation Role DetailsThe Department for Child Protection is seeking multiple Social Workers or Case Managers to join the Limestone Coast office in Mount Gambier on a full-time ongoing basis. The role is responsible for:Providing effective case management services to respond to the needs of children and their families aligned to appropriate statutory guidelinesDelivering a range of intervention strategies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomesAssisting children in out of home care to reconnect with their birth families, strengthen relationships and achieve and maintain reunificationUndertaking regular visits and supporting parents in developing appropriate parenting skills.About YouWe are looking for a motivated, organised individual who has the ability to understand factors that contribute to child abuse and confidently can apply this understanding to your work and the decisions you make. This will allow you to identify and respond to the needs and risks to safety, wellbeing and development of children and young people. You will have a demonstrated ability to apply culturally sensitive child protection practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and community from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
