About the role
This role will deliver clinical assessment, intervention, and treatment planning for adults with alcohol and drugs related disorders in community and inpatient settings.

About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
- Knowledge of or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of alcohol and other drug disorders and co-morbidities such as severe and enduring mental illness and the associated evidence-based interventions.
- Provide clinical services including assessment, planning and delivery within the context of a multidisciplinary environment, maintaining an awareness of community and organisational objectives. These services include the use of core discipline assessment and intervention skills, diagnostic and formulation skills, treatment planning and case management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate a social work perspective and the priorities for assessment and intervention in the context of the multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain a high level of communication with members of the multidisciplinary team, consumers, carers, and other stakeholders and participating in multidisciplinary committees as directed by senior staff.
- Demonstrate willingness to improve clinical experience through engagement in continuing professional development and training.
- Provide clinical practice and professional supervision and mentoring to less experienced staff (where applicable) and contribute to student supervision within the specialised area of community mental health service delivery.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
- The possession of a tertiary degree in Social Work providing eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers is required.
