About the role

This role will be based at the Angliss hospital as part of the Acute and Aged Medicine services. The social work service conducts assessments and interventions that support those experiencing a variety of psycho-social issues, such as to those entering residential aged care, those involved with NDIS, family violence/elder abuse, and home care services to name a few.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

• Holds a degree qualification in Social Work that has been approved by the AASW for membership as a practicing Social Worker,
• Maintains compliance with the AASW CPD policy in order to meet the Eastern Health Allied Health credentialing standard,
• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced health environment,
• Excellent problem-solving skills,
• Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team,
• Excellent communication skills,
• Basic knowledge of the relevant legislation and frameworks.
