Troocoo Government are currently aiding a large Queensland State Government client with the recruitment of an experienced Software Developer. This role provides technical expertise and knowledge in application development and developing strategies for the agency’s future software development environment.
Based in Brisbane CBD - Initial contract to EOFY - $88.24 per hour + super.
The Role
In this role you will:
- Undertake technical analysis, programming and scripting activities as required within the development environment.
- Assist in processing ad hoc data and/or regular requests and data maintenance and testing activities, configuration, quality and release management.
- Development principles and standards of the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (GEA).
- Assist with the maintenance and support of agency systems through the development of new or updated functional requirement specifications and/or detailed design specifications.
- Assist with maintaining a quality assurance program for data correction and management of the service and identify and correct defects and data integrity issues and provide support and assistance to users.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Software Development Life Cycle practices.
- Maintain all relevant registers, logs and quality documentation to sustain and improve services provided to clients.
- Assist with providing strategic advice relating to software development and integration solution architecture through effective communication with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
The essential requirements for this role are:
- Experience in the Microsoft environment (specifically .Net framework) including C#, SQL Server databases (DevOps, Mobile Development and BizTalk Server experience would be highly desirable).
- Experience in the design and construction of enterprise focused systems using structured software development methodology and practices.
- Experience in relational database design and development.
- Understanding of quality assurance activities and processes
- Systems analysis and design skills.
- Knowledge, interpretation and application of legislation, policies and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of information technologies including:
- Windows application development including .NET WinForms.
- Microsoft SQL Server including T – SQL scripts.
- Microsoft .Net web services, REST, JSON, SOAP and XML.
- Product administration, configuration, installation and job scheduling.
- Data modelling and design.
- Web application development including ASP.NET, MVC, Single Page App, HTML5, CSS3.
- Microsoft’s SSIS, SSAS and SSRS.
- Experience in Azure DevOps and GIT source code control would be desirable.
