Operations Technology is the engine room of the CBA Group dedicated to running, improving and transforming the processes that deliver products and services to the CBA Group's customers.
This role will provide support for user developed tools issues and required maintenance (eg. required updates to macros and UDTs code)

As part of the Workflow Automation (UDTs) Squad, you will a join a team in CBA Sydney providing support and managing citizen-developed tools such as VBA macros and MS Power Apps. Citizen-developed tools are called User-developed tools (UDTs) in CBA.
As part of the UDTs Squad, you'll be collaborating and working with other squad members and stakeholders on the following:
Provide support for user developed tools issues and required maintenance (eg. required updates to macros and UDTs code)
Analyse existing UDTs: identifying how these can be automated and/or implemented better considering resiliency, availability, security, requirements, risk management
Drive and implement automation on the UDTs space to drive down operational toil, reduce technical debt and improve resiliency of UDTs
Collaborate with teams across the Group to triage priority incidents, contributing to blameless post mortems, and ensuring permanent closure of incidents, including remediation of root causes and contributing factors
We're interested in hearing from people who
Are passionate and experienced DevOps Engineers with proven experience in developing and providing support for user-developed tools such as VBA Macros and Power Apps - based applications
Are passionate and driven about automation and reliability engineering; and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver meaningful customer outcomes
Have advanced skill set in using MS products such as: MS Access, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, SharePoint, Word
Have experience and exposure to Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps and Power Automate)
Are ready to undertake any other tasks assigned by your manager that you have the capability to perform safely in line with relevant internal Bank policies and external regulatory requirements
Have analytical and growth mindset; strong in problem solving; have abilities to identify and drive automation and improvement opportunities
Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We do not expect you to know them all. Experience or exposure with some of these, or a willingness to learn these skillsets (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.
Proven experience in developing and maintaining VBA macros
Experience on Power Platform products: Power Automate and Power Apps
Automation and scripting skills: C#, HTML, .Net, SQL, VBA
SDLC; CI/CD and common ecosystems; and toolchains
Advanced skillset in using MS products: MS Access, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, SharePoint, Word
Database Management skills: MS Access, SQL
Strong troubleshooting skills and passion for driving reliability engineering
Systems Management: Setting up scheduled jobs
Observability and Monitoring: setting up alerting and monitoring with tools such as Splunk, Grafana or similar tooling
Proficient working in a DevOps environment and practicing Agile ways of working
