Join us on the journey Due to continued business growth and an increasing pipeline of projects, we're seeking a Solar Project Engineer to join the team in our North Ryde, NSW. Working with multi-disciplinary engineering and construction teams, you will be accountable for a wide range of responsibilities including all aspects of engineering design, analysis and development of new solar PV and Energy storage systems; performing site-specific engineering analysis or evaluation of energy efficiency and solar/battery projects involving residential, commercial, or industrial customers and; design of solar and energy storage systems for new and existing structures. What you'll do The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below: Responsible for the expansion of the Solar and Energy Storage strategy for the TC&S group.Setting the strategic direction of the Solar and Energy Storage business with the development of business plans and budgets.Development of strategic relationships with key technology partners and OEMs that maximises Downer's ability to secure targeted opportunities.Management of the customer relationship through all stages of the project life cycle in conjunction with the Minor Works Program Manager.Responsible for the solution design and operational activities of Solar and Energy Storage projects. What you'll bringProject engineering experience within the Solar and Energy Storage industry.CEC accreditation in PV design and installation, plus storage accreditation desirable.Good understanding of the Renewables markets, its customers and forms of contract (more specifically Solar, Batteries and Metering)Experience managing subcontractors.Demonstrated ability to proactively build relationships with key stakeholders /clients, peers and colleagues.Preparation of tenders/bids, review and management of technical information.Safety focused, able to contribute to our Zero Harm environment and culture.More than anything, you'll have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a drive to provide high quality outcomes for the Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services business unit and our clients.
