Solicitor - Family Law

Our client Our client is a reputable generalist firm with a growing Family Law practice. They are a highly regarded firm in the Newcastle and Hunter region across their mixed practice areas. With continued growth in their Family Law team an opportunity has arisen for a lawyer with 2 – 5 years PAE, to join their team and support the demand in their practice group.
 
The role

You will enjoy working in an established team of accredited specialists and solicitors working across complex parenting and property matters. With a thriving practice you will be provided with the mentoring and support to continue to develop as a practitioner and with excellent administration support and technical resources, your billable hours are realistic and achievable.
 
Key Responsibilities include:    

• Commensurate to experience, managing a varied caseload of complex Family Law matters, including divorce proceedings, financial settlements and disputes involving children.  
• Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders, including barristers and other professionals in the legal community.  
• Assist junior solicitors and support staff in the team with their caseloads and providing guidance and mentorship where necessary. 

About you

The ideal candidate will be a Family Lawyer with 2 – 5 years PAE looking to progress their career and potentially specialise in their field however, this is not essential.  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail.  
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up to date with developments in Family Law.
