Solicitor- Roma

Our Client is renowned for delivering top-tier legal services to a diverse cross-section of the community. With offices in Ipswich, Toowoomba, Roma, and Goondiwindi, they are currently seeking a dedicated Solicitor to join their team in Roma.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing legal advice, information, casework, representation, duty lawyer services, and related activities to clients.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current legislation and cases to ensure the provision of sound and accurate advice to clients.
• Educating members of the community and service providers on prevention and awareness activities and disseminating information about the services offered by the organization.
• Delivering legal education, including presenting at in-house meetings, external seminars, and stakeholder interest groups.
• Preparing reports and other materials as directed by the CEO or Manager Legal Services.
• Undertaking submission writing relevant to the focus of the organisation.

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess the following experience and skills:

• Hold a Legal Practicing Certificate in Queensland.
• Hold or be immediately eligible to obtain a Positive Notice for Working with Children and receive a positive notice from Disability Services Queensland based on mandatory criminal history screening.
• Studies related to social justice, community services, or human services are desirable but not essential.
• Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to demonstrate empathy, passion, and inclusivity.
