We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Solid Plasterer to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Solid Plasterer, you will be responsible for applying various types of plaster finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings. You will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards within specified deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Apply Solid PLASTER finishes such as cement, acrylic, and lime-based renders to surfaces including walls, ceilings, and facades.
2. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, levelling, and applying undercoats as necessary.
3. Mix plastering materials to appropriate consistency and texture.
4. Apply decorative finishes such as textures, stucco, and architectural mouldings.
5. Repair damaged plaster surfaces by filling cracks and holes and applying patches.
6. Operate hand and power tools including trowels, floats, and spray equipment.
7. Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment.
8. Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to coordinate workflow and project timelines.
9. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
10. Follow project specifications and drawings to achieve desired outcomes.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Solid Plasterer in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in applying various types of plaster finishes and decorative techniques.
3. Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
4. Ability to read and interpret project specifications and drawings.
5. Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
6. Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
7. Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
8. Relevant trade qualification/certification is desirable.
9. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
