Solution Architect - Enterprise & Corporate Systems

What’s the role?

News Corp Australia supports the largest and most diverse set of publishing brands in Australia covering news, lifestyle, food, travel, and sports. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future Enterprise Systems Solution Architecture across NewsCorp, supporting project delivery and architecture strategy.

This role will support business and technical stakeholders by providing technical leadership and direction in defining strategic technology solutions that meet business stakeholder needs. Working with stakeholders, both senior leadership, subject matter experts, and specialist architects; this role will be responsible for producing the overall enterprise systems architecture design, assessing solution options, producing high-level integration solutions, and overseeing the detailed design artefacts that will be the basis for the enterprise systems program delivery. Bringing experience across transformational projects, providing well-articulated advice to stakeholders, as well as technical thought leadership across the complex solutions that drive business value.

Accountabilities include:

• Lead enterprise systems Solution Architecture development and delivery.
• Design and deliver enterprise architecture across Finance, HR, Facilities, Procurement, and Legal systems that derive maximum business benefits.
• Evangelize our Enterprise Systems & framework and work with Domains where they use services that rely on the enterprise domain.
• Ensure integrations maximize the value of leveraging existing capabilities and services to key platforms
• Design solutions aligned to the Enterprise and Domain architecture roadmaps with adherence to architecture methods and standards
• Interpret stakeholder goals, design, and cost-related integration solutions
• Define and maintain target and transition state architectures
• Provide day-to-day technical leadership across permanent and vendor architect resources assigned to projects.
• Provide architecture governance for the technical designs across enterprise systems used at NewsCorp.
• Proactively identify and address delivery/technical issues and challenges to ensure business outcomes are delivered.
• Contribute to the enterprise systems architecture strategy and roadmap
• Contribute to a high-performing delivery culture, composed of engaged and empowered employees.

Who are you?

• 5+ years leading enterprise systems Solution Architecture, practical experience proven across medium to large projects in Finance, HR, Procurement, Facilities and Legal
• 8+ years IT experience across either design, development and operations
• Enterprise systems domain knowledge and understanding of Finance, HR, Procurement, Facilities and Legal applications.
• A commercial acumen and a strategic mindset
• Demonstrable experience defining and delivering large-scale enterpriseinitiatives through Waterfall and Agile methods
• In-depth experience across JDE 9.2 & related modules or applications
• Experience in cloud architectures, SSO, SAAS systems, Reporting and Application Automation Platforms.
• Ability to establish and maintain solid relationships with technical and business stakeholders
• Experienced in providing technical consultation to business stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence
• Experience in presenting, and exploring solutions through the use of whiteboarding
