The roleManage and support the implementation of Suncorp's
Data Governance Framework and supporting standards across the relevant Operational Excellence (OE) Department.This role works closely with the Reporting & Insights Initiative Lead to uplift the relevant OE Teams data maturity and compliance by effectively:
- Liaising with the group data Governance team to ensure compliance with the Suncorp group Data Governance framework and supporting standards
- Designing, implementing and maintaining relevant activity under our Data Governance Flight Plan
- Supporting the design of processes to ensure alignment to the Group Data Governance Framework e.g. Classification, Storage, Quality and Retention), to embed strong Data Governance practices across the relevant OE Teams
- Driving education & training across the OE Teams with regards to Data Governance roles, accountabilities, processes, and procedures
- Contributing and co-ordinating upkeep of the Suncorp central data dictionary (Collibra), and understands the relevant OE Teams current reporting, data, and system landscape
- Supporting completion of Data Governance Checklists at both a Business and Group initiative and BAU level
- Leading regular business forums in respect of Data Governance progress, areas of focus and support required by our business Data Governance custodians
What you'll bring- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or Business equivalent industry experience desired
- 3+ years' experience financial services with a strong focus on Data, Systems, Reporting, Risk, Compliance and/or Governance (preferred)
- Data Governance toolset experience Collibra / RDM (preferred)
- Business Analyst / Data Analyst experience (preferred)
- Understanding of Business intelligence tools such as Tableau/Cognos/SQL (preferred)
- Understanding of Systems, data flows and reporting configurations (preferred)
- Understanding of Suncorp Policies, Frameworks and Standards (preferred)
- Experience in business process mapping (preferred)
