Solution Architect – Port Macquarie

Our client is a global knowledge practice that provides consulting, technology, engineering, operating and innovation services to leading organisations. They work with customers to deliver sustainable and lasting improvements to their efficiency and performance, adding value to their bottom line. Due to increased work, they are looking to hire a Data Architect. The initial contract will be for 3 months, with a view to go permanent is possible.

Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to;

• Lead involvement in all lifecycle stages of the project – architecture, design and implementation
• Deliver fit for purpose and adaptable business, technology and Solution Architecture across the enterprise, with a focus on delivering business outcomes
• Model and design UI, Business process, Data and Integration layers (high and low level design)
• Implement SOA based solutions
• Collaborate with existing IT architecture practices including application architecture and web oriented architecture
• Responsible for the design and review of authored Solution Architecture for sign off from senior ICT stakeholders Ensure Solution Architecture aligns with technology roadmaps and blueprints, and governance processes

Knowledge & Experience

• Minimum degree qualification in IT, Software Engineering or related discipline
• 10+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect
• Knowledge of Enterprise Architect disciplines and frameworks e.g. TOGAF
• Demonstrated experience identifying and developing solution options for complex, multi-disciplinary programmes including transformation programmes
• Demonstrated experience in interpreting and responding to detailed business requirements specifications to ensure alignment between customer expectations and current or future ICT capability
• Demonstrated experience in identifying and evaluating solution options taking into account the wider business architecture
• Demonstrated experience in defining Solution Architecture in line with client enterprise architecture and technology standards and frameworks
• Demonstrated experience in providing input into decisions on strategic technology investments
• Strong analytical skills identifying, analysing, evaluating and recommending solution options, and being able to articulate business and technical solutions
• Good consultative skills being able to establish and maintain strong relationships, consult and influence at senior management level, and communicate ideas and concepts clearly
• Working knowledge or (preferably) accreditation of architecture frameworks and methodologies such as TOGAF, Archimate, Zackman is preferred
• Knowledge of workflow and integration technology solutions is essential
• Knowledge of enterprise applications including CRM, FMS, SCM, asset and works management is preferred
• Demonstrated experience in hands-on Solution Architecture roles
• Utility industry experience preferred
