What will I be doing?
Reporting into the Head of IT - Stores & IM Domain Architecture you'll have the strong ability to develop the architecture for projects, ensuring projects are initiated and aligned to the IT and business strategy outcomes. key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the development, maintenance and communication of high level plans for projects to ensure effective Architecture is developed and maintained
- Apply Architecture development and governance processes for specific projects to promote effective governance and solution quality within Architecture
- Responsible for the development of solutions for projects according to architecture guidelines and processes to ensure effective solutions are designed in accordance with business requirements, Woolworths standards and IT Strategy
- Contribute to high quality, timely IT estimates for solutions and roadmaps to ensure effective IT estimation of technology solutions
- Maintain and apply awareness of emerging technologies and contribute to the investigation of improvement opportunities to drive continuous improvement and ensure Woolworths remains innovative and up to date with market leading technologies and industry trends
- Contribute to the development of relationships with key stakeholders including (Senior) Business and technology project stakeholders to ensure appropriate stakeholders are effectively engaged in the formulation of Architecture direction
- Provide technology advice and guidance to (Senior) Business and technology project stakeholders within a project to assist the business in the formulation of business scope, direction and technology investment decisions
What will I bring?
You'll be highly motivated and pragmatic, and driven to get things done! You will have a proven track record of 2+ years in IT/Retail formulating business solutions within project teams with demonstrable ability in analysis, problem solving and system design. As a strong communicator, you will effectively navigate and communicate with a range of stakeholders across the business. Other key capabilities sought include:
- Ability to designs IT solutions based on business requirements that complements existing and future services.
- Strong people skills - communication, motivation, mentoring and influening
- Sound understanding of Business Process & IT Systems
- Good knowledge of finance for the purpose of solution quotation and business case development
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience in microservices architecture and cloud (Azure).
