Your TeamYou’ll join a multi-disciplinary Tech Strategy, Enterprise & Solution Architecture team. The team supports all of Hollard’s technologies, our business architecture and our technology transformation strategy. Architecture as a practice has grown quickly in size since its inception in 2020. This is due to significant consolidation and acquisitions, along with an ambitious transformation agenda.
Your RoleThis role is a critical role in delivering our modern data platform strategy and policy. Working closely with the Enterprise Data Architect, the Architecture team and the wider tech and business teams, you will apply a breadth of technology and business knowledge to help design new data solutions, in addition to seeking opportunities to bring forward the delivery of value to our customers by incrementally modernising existing solutions.
You will lead the successful delivery of new data initiatives together with developing architecture reference architectures, patterns, standards etc. Your primary scope will cover the domains of data & information architecture. You may be asked to support other domains as required and appropriate.
Your duties and responsibilities- You will contribute to the data domain architecture practice establishment and its maturity.
- Scope, define and maintain data focused solutions and data integration and ETL strategies, in alignment to Enterprise Architecture and Roadmaps.
- Identify and resolve cross-capability, cross-release issues that impact the business and enterprise architecture integrity.
- Create and maintain overall delivery roadmap for target business and/or technology domain area, covering legacy technology change control/decommissioning and strategic technology uplift/remediation/onboarding.
- Define and promote solutions that have long term supportability, with clarity on legacy or existing implementation impacts and transition.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Data Architect, ideally with financial services exposure.
- Must have strong foundation in IT with core competencies in data and information management and solution design, and SaaS based data technology implementations.
- Good successful track record on architecture work for strategic initiatives meeting quantifiable business outcomes and resulting in tangible impact for the organisation.
- Experience in leveraging cloud services for data processing, transformation, and analytics is required.
- Microsoft Azure experience is required, and snowflake is highly regarded.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert is mandatory.
